Hey! I'm Heather
Heather attended West Virginia University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She completed her undergraduate practicum at Chestnut Ridge Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia where she learned crucial case management skills for patients in Substance Abuse Treatment.
Get to know Heather.
She continued her education at West Virginia University receiving a master’s degree in Social Work. Heather completed her graduate practicum at Community Care of West Virginia in Bridgeport, West Virginia. She primarily worked with children in the school setting who suffered from various mental illnesses. Additionally, she worked closely with High school-aged students with depression, anxiety, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her MSW curriculum was centered around substance use and mental health in rural communities. She completed her MSW through the Rural Integrated Behavioral Health Treatment program where she gained experience with children, adults with chronic pain, and other various mental illnesses.
She graduated with her MSW in May 2020 and received her license to practice therapy in August 2020. Heather is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker. She is extremely excited to be part of the Hometown Healing team!
